Survey and Assessments

ENTEK has experience conducting environmental surveys and assessments throughout the USA and Europe.  Possible contaminants include asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint (LBP), microbials, mold & mildew, petroleum product and other suspect hazardous materials. ENTEK performs sampling and analysis of ambient air, soils or building materials to identify the type of contaminants.   If the existence of a particular contaminant poses a health & safety concern or impacts a construction project, ENTEK can provide recommendations.

Project Design

ENTEK designs it’s projects and develops contract documents in a manner that not only adheres to all regulatory standards, but emphasizes the health & safety of building occupants and protects the liability of the client. ENTEK’s expertise in construction management ensures projects are completed without unnecessary delays and added costs.

The steps ENTEK undertakes include:

• Developing contract documents, including technical specifications, drawings, general and supplementary conditions of the contract and bid documents.

• Submitting contract documents and other forms to appropriate regulatory agencies for approval as required.

• Conducting pre-bid meetings with potential remediation contractors and assisting in contractor selection.

• Reviewing contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents

Project Management

  An ENTEK Project Manager is assigned to each project and serves as the key client and contractor contact throughout the project, ensuring a clear line of communication to all parties.  The services the Project Manager provides include: identification of  contaminants, interpretation of analytical data, hazard evaluation, administration of the construction contract, tracking of project schedule to control costs, verification of the completeness of the work, ensuring proper contractor submittals and processing applications for payment.

Project Monitoring

Full-time, on-site project monitoring for the duration of a remediation project is the only way to ensure a project is in compliance with the contract documents, applicable rules and regulations.  ENTEK’S Project Monitors are the owner’s on-site representative.  They fully document and oversee the  remediation project.  The Project Monitor performs appropriate sampling and visual inspections throughout the work to confirm compliance with the specifications and regulations.

Health and Safety Programs

Environmental assessments and remediations involve potential heath and safety risks to building occupants and workers.  ENTEK has environmental health & safety specialists and occupational health physicians who are responsible for development of site specific health and safety programs including exposure monitoring, data evaluation and training.  ENTEK provides asbestos, lead, confined space, Hazard Communication, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, Lockout/Tagout, Blood borne Pathogens and Respiratory Protection programs and training.

Drafting Services

ENTEK provides field verification,  surveying and drafting  services.  Our engineers and  draftsmen perform field surveys to verify type and condition of building systems and materials.  We prepare as-built, mechanical plans, scaled drawings, multi-dimensional drawings, floor layouts  and simple key plans.
