Causation of Loss What happened?? ENTEK provides investigations following a loss to determine the cause of damage. Property damage to walls, ceilings, floors, equipment and furnishings can occur from simple water intrusion, to a destructive man-made or natural disaster. ENTEK has investigated losses caused by equipment failures, design errors, building failures, explosions, and equipment malfunctions. As soon as cause is established, mitigation can proceed abating further damage, controlling the dollar value of the claim. ENTEK performs site inspections, document review, interviews with owners, occupants and enforcement agencies to ascertain the cause and extent of a loss.
Scope of Damage How much is lost?
ENTEK conducts investigations to determine the scope of damage following a loss. A reliable scope of damage is best determined by a thorough site inspection. ENTEK will conduct a site visit and detail the extent of damage. During the investigation, ENTEK will quantify building materials, damage and assess options for mitigation. If necessary, specifications and drawings will be prepared to allow contractors to bid the work. ENTEK’s investigation not only establishes the extent of damage but can also delineate between loss related vs. pre-existing conditions, wear and tear issues, effects of long term water intrusion and poor building maintenance. ENTEK staff has the specialized training necessary to enter sites that many times are restricted because of safety, health and environmental issues.
Scope of Service for Repair Can this be cleaned or does it have to be removed? After the Scope of Damage is determined, ENTEK will prepare a itemized scope of work to return the building to pre-loss condition. A scope of work will detail the exact building materials that need to be removed, replaced, repaired, restored, or in many cases - cleaned. ENTEK provides timely, accurate assessments, to allow you to adjust your loss as quickly as possible.
Cost of Restoration How much is this going to cost?
ENTEK provides accurate and feasible costs of restoration to the insurance company. These costs can be as detailed as necessary, itemizing every component with a location, quantity and unit cost. ENTEK can also provide budget estimates for quick decision making purposes. ENTEK cost estimates are based on project experience, regional cost factors and industry cost standards. We provide the insurance company with a realistic cost that can be carried out by the restoration contractor.
